Adobe Creative Cloud – Updating Email Address & Username

These instructions will guide you through the process of changing your Adobe Creative Cloud Username and the associated email address.
This change is required for all Press Creative Cloud users that are not already using their new email address as their Username for Creative Cloud (which I believe is everyone).

  1. Open a web browser and go to www.adobe.com . Sign in (top-right) with your current Creative Cloud username and password. If you do not know your Press Creative Cloud username, you can check it by opening the Creative Cloud application, clicking on the Adobe Symbol in the top-right, and checking the email address listed there. For most of you, it will be something along the lines of DEPTUSER1@press.jhu.edu. If you are unable to determine your username, contact me for assistance ( SBrandow@jhu.edu ). If you do not remember your password, use the forgot my password option to reset it. Note: it may take a while for the email to arrive with the reset information (anywhere from normal email delivery time, up to 15ish minutes).
  2. Once signed in, click on the blue Manage your account button.
  3. Click Change email on the right side, enter your password again if prompted, then enter your current email address (I suggest using your JHEDID@jh.edu rather than an alias, for consistency sake). Please make a note of what email address you enter, as this will be your Creative Cloud username from now on and I will not be able to easily tell you what you used here. Once you’ve entered your current email address, click change.
  4. You will be prompted to enter a code, which should arrive by email. Again, this email may be delayed in arrival. Enter the code once retrieved from your email, and click Verify.
  5. You should now see your Primary email listed as your new address.
  6. The next time you are prompted to log in to Creative Cloud, use your new email address as the username, along with your same Creative Cloud password.
