Overview of Office Upgrade Instructions for PC Users

All Press PC users - please carefully read through this email and attachment. 

 Press Mac Users - An email with instructions for the Mac version of this process will be sent out early next week, please keep an eye out for that.

As recently mentioned in the "Technology changes coming soon" email, we are in the process of upgrading Press software in order to facilitate the upcoming Email Migration and Firewall projects.

The Office Upgrade For PC User Guide in the following document will walk you through the process of upgrading the Microsoft Office programs on your Press PC, which must be completed by September 30th. If you use Remote Desktop to access a computer located at the Press, please perform these instructions inside the Remote Desktop session. If you have a Press provided laptop and do not use Remote Desktop, please perform the instructions on the laptop.

Please read and follow the instructions closely, and if you encounter any issues - make detailed notes of where you got stuck and what happened. Submit a ticket with this information to IT_Support@press.jhu.edu . In the subject line of the ticket/email, please include "PC Office Upgrade Issue" so we can easily track these tickets.

A follow up email with a polling option will be sent out at a later date so everyone can report their successful installs.
